A close family friend passed away last week after battling cancer for quite some time. Tim "Timmy" Stanczak played baseball for my father when he was a high school student and went on to continue playing for him in the Milwaukee County League. I've known him almost my entire life and always considered him a big brother, as I did with all of my father's players. Timmy was only 55 and his passing is a reminder to us all that we should live in the moment like he did his entire life. So, here's to you, Timmy. May we all live our lives with purpose and meaning each and every day.
