I've suggested this before, and I have to urge you readers out there to try this challenge and see how much it kicks your ass!! My first trial last week I managed 386 full squats, using only my body weight. Today I focused hard and crushed my previous mark with 505 squats!!! Man, my knees are wobbly and my legs are just shakin', but I'm lovin' how pumped my legs, and hips are. It even works the back and abs. Total beast of a workout in only 20 minutes. This will definitely be a mainstay in my workout routine. Adam, better get to those squats and bump up that 592 you posted at the end of January. I'm coming for ya!! Muwahaha!!!

Sweet! Great job, I better get on the ball before you pass me! I've got a great new workout I'll post about soon.
Thanks, Adam. Looking forward to the new workout post. Stay Primal!!
damn... thats just beastly...might have to try that..
I tried to get on the "Get Primal" blog the other day but you have to be "invited"?
I don't even do things I like 500 times! You should be in great shape for skiing moguls. When I squat 500 times in a trail race, I'll cut down on my fiber intake.
Hahaha, good one Steve!!!
Bro, just send Adam an e-mail at harmer_adam@yahoo.com and request to be invited to view his blog. He set his blog to be private now, so an invite is required. I'm sure he'll be more than happy to send you one.
Some of the hard-core ultracyclists that view your blog do squats once per week for improving their mental toughness. Initially, try to hold 90 seconds with butt down. Repeat twice. Over time, work up to 5 minutes at a crack. (see Spinervals 5.0, Mental Tougness DVD).
Some of the hard-core mountain men that view your blog take a 2 foot plywood box, strap on a 35 pound backpack, and step up and down the box for 20 minutes without stopping. (see www.mountainathlete.com)
While you are at it, get a 100 lb backpack and carry that while you drag a weighted sled.

Mitch, thanks for the ideas and links!
Wow! I think I'd have a hard time reaching 100... but I'll give it a go. Thanks for the advice Steve - definitely some things I'd like to try.
Steve is right. I'd be happy to include others in the blog, just shoot me an email. Thanks for the link on fat burning. I've read hundreds of articles on the topic and that's one of the better ones I've seen. Just cracked and peeled a coconut for tomorrow's long run! I'll probably post on specifically on this topic soon so everybody can battle it out in the comments;)
